The Departed (Road Trip Day 4)

Where: Boston, MA to Portland, ME

This morning we woke up, packed up our stuff, ate breakfast with the Hahns, and went on down to downtown Boston to take a walk on the Freedom Trail.  We decided to do it backwards and started out by taking a ferry to the north part of the trail.  Calvin had a ball watching the foam that the boat made.

The ferry dropped us off right by the U.S.S. Constitution.

Continuing along the Freedom Trail, we stopped at the Union Oyster House.  I ate authentic Boston Baked Beans, and Calvin crinkled the placemat.

We also paid our respects to the late, great Paul Revere.

And did some hanging out in Boston Common.

On our way out of town we stopped in at Salem, MA, and watched a witch trial reenactment:
