I love to swim
We headed to the Jamestown River Beach on Saturday to do some swimming. (The sound on the video is quiet, probably due to water in the camera)
Yum Yum
Last week at Mom’s Morning In we went to a friend’s house to paint with chocolate pudding. Calvin wasn’t sure what to think of it :)
Go Texans!
The reason we visited the Goggins on that particular weekend was to go to the Washington Redskins vs. Houston Texans game! Sara had gotten Kyle tickets for Father’s Day, and we got to celebrate with him.
As you could imagine, we were one of the only Texans fans at the game (check out Calvin’s shirt!) The Redskins were ahead pretty far for the first bit, but the Texans came back and tied it up for some overtime. Needless to say, the Redskins fans (Kyle included :) ) were pretty into what was going to happen. Unfortunately for them, the Texans were first to score in overtime and they won! You wouldn’t of even known the game was over by how quiet it was in the stadium after the Redskins lost….spooky.
It was my first pro-football game and a fun experience (for the most part!) We were just thankful that Calvin & Abby can’t talk yet, because the fans around us were using every word in the book, pretty intense. Also, when we got there, other people were using our seats and spilled beer all over the floor where we had to put our bags…lame. But all in all it was a fun experience and we’re glad we got to go!

Crawling with Abby
Calvin hasn’t seen his buddy Abby for a while. We’re visiting them this weekend and they got to crawl around last night…

9 Month Pics
So when we do these monthly pics, we usually end up with about 150 pictures, and about 130 of them look something like this:
And once again, we present you with the diamonds in the rough ($5 in royalties to Aladdin)…
If you’re wondering about the hand in the mouth thing, he’s feeling his little teeth. They’re new and odd to him I suppose.

New Favorite
I guess you can say that I’m my father’s daughter because I am obsessed with popcorn. Sometimes it’s all I eat for a meal :) It’s just sooo good.
Anyway, I eat it almost everyday (mostly for an afternoon snack). So we thought it’d be a good idea to find a money saving way to keep me fed :) Luke found this site that gave us the idea to pop our own popcorn instead of buying the individual bags. Basically you put some kernels in a brown lunch bag, fold the bag over twice, microwave for 2.5 mins or so, then top with your favorite toppings. I like the traditional butter and salt, Luke likes to mix things up and toss some Tony Chachere’s in there.
Price savings are pretty big. I bought the store brand of a 32 oz bag of popcorn for $1.79, which might make like 50 bags of popcorn (I don’t really know, but it seams like a lot). Sometimes I can get regular popcorn bags for free, but if not, a 3 pack would also cost around $1.70. So you can see that overall, this is a huge money saver!
And it makes my afternoon snack that much better when little man is taking a nice little nap :)
