My family came for a visit last week! The parentals along with Laura got here Tues afternoon (June 30) and David came late Wed night. So for Wed we decided to go to Colonial Williamsburg. We didn't get tickets and just walked around. They had some of the stuff blocked off to ticketers only though, so that was kind of stinky, but I think everyone got the gist.
This is what happens to parents who are bad..
Thurs morning we got up bright and early and headed out to Washington, DC.
We rented bikes like we did with the Hargroves, it makes seeing everything soooo much easier!

Matchy-Matchy
So at DC we spent Thurs riding bikes around to see all the monuments and then finished the day with a tour of the Capitol. Friday we headed out to Arlington Cemetary, the Air & Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Holocaust Museum. After a long day of walking around (wishing we still had our bikes) we headed back to Williamsburg.
Saturday (July 4th) we were pretty pooped so we just hung our house and played games and watched
Independence Day, pretty appropriate we thought. For the evening though, we headed to
Historic Yorktown to watch the fireworks.

Here's the fireworks behind Victory Monument, which I thought was pretty appropriate b/c it symbolizes victory over the British, which is why we celebrate July 4th.
Sunday was a rainy day, so after church we just hung around the house playing games and watching movies.
Monday we headed to Virginia Beach. It was pretty cloudy and windy, so of course I was cold.
But it wasn't too cold for Luke and David to go swimming and skimboarding.
And of course we had to eat at Cheddars at least once while Carol was here...she had to have her onion rings :)
And Tues was everyone's last day here. We headed to
Historic Jamestowne to check out the archeology (mainly for Lunsford).
And that's it. We had a great time with the fam and hope they'll come visit us again soon! :)

Not too bad I think. Luke bought me a subscription to the paper for a year so I won't miss out on any great coupons! Mom/Carol/Nisie/Trix can still give me all yours too :) for double deals! Hopefully we'll never have to buy toothpaste, hair products, or deodorant again!
I guess there's plenty of grass for the to chow down on b/c the mower guys seem to wait forever to mow :)
Ok so we go to the doctor on Mon. July 27 for the second sonogram where we get to find out the baby's gender! There's a poll in the right side bar if you want to guess what the baby will be :)
And because there are 2 Chick-Fil-A's in Williamsburg, Luke and I went again for dinner :)
