Friday was Cow Day at Chick-Fil-A, so we put on our spots and headed out to get our free food!
As you can tell, it was pretty sunny and Calvin couldn’t handle it. I don’t blame him, it was hurting my eyes too!

This July 4th, MawMaw and PawPaw came to visit with us. Our neighborhood hosts a parade that begins right at our driveway and ends 1/2 mile later at the pool. So we figured we’d participate b/c it literally started at our house :)
At the end of the parade, HEB had set up hot dogs, chips, drinks and ice-cream!
As you can see from her face, Lucy Kate loved the dog and food :)
This was one of her first ice-cream attempts that she actually liked! Usually she thinks it’s too cold, but it hit the spot on a hot day!
That night we headed out to the Leander Liberty Fest where they had bounce houses, food, a band and of course fireworks! Calvin stood in line the whole time to enjoy the bounce house obstacle course. It was literally his turn when they started counting down for the fireworks, but he had waited so patiently that he decided to still give it a go.
Love her faces here…
Watching fireworks from the top of the minivan! Calvin was too scared to sit up there, but not our brave little girl :)
So we’ve been trying to figure out how to post to our blog because we hit the cyber limit we previously had. Luke says it’s all good now, so we’ll see if I can update more often :)
As you know, our baby girl turned 1 back in April and we celebrated with a Pink Lemonade Party! I made all the paper décor and invitation using my trusty Silhouette Cameo (of course!)
I made the tulle pom pom garland using this tutorial.
We had some ham sandwiches, cesar salad, pasta salad and fruit salad…salad much?
I found a recipe for a Pink Lemonade Cake which turned out delicious.
The party favors were little lemonade pouches with pink marshmallows.
Luke made our little lemon this awesome lemonade stand!
Watch how her face drastically changes..
Eating lunch..
I made her dress using this tutorial.
Lucy Kate had the privilege of having a few of her besties come celebrate with her!
Apparently it’s hard to get 4 babies to smile perfectly for the camera :)
Love her face here..
Thanks family and friends for making Lucy Kate’s birthday so fun and special!
