Calvin is obsessed with The Lorax, movie (the new one) and book…So for this year’s Halloween, we decided to dress in a Lorax theme :)
Luke is The Once-ler, Calvin is The Lorax, Lucy Kate is a Bar-Ba-Loot Bear, and I am a Truffula Tree. I have to say, the costumes turned out pretty cute!
Luke had to go on a business trip last week, so he missed Halloween, but we got to go to a Fall Festival at the neighborhood elementary before he left.
Trix came to help while Luke was out of town, so she got to spend actual Halloween with us. Here she is trying to get Calvin to help her carve a pumpkin. He wasn’t too into though.
Halloween night we headed to another fall festival where Calvin jumped in 4 or 5 different bounce houses :)
We met some MOPS friends at Sweet Berry Farms for a playdate.
Calvin LOVED the bounce place!
I feel like he looks like such an old kid here..
Last year we took Calvin’s picture on the back of this truck wearing his first “Big Brother” shirt to announce his new baby sister, now she’s 6 months old…Crazy!
Calvin loves trains, but he was terrified of this one…At least I got some cute pics of him before he freaked out.
Lucy Kate was there too of course, but she is a baby and doesn’t do anything.
We got to pet/feed the goats..
And ring the bell in the corn maze..
Last weekend, we headed to Bedford for a 10 year reunion of Luke’s high school youth group. We had a family cookout at the park for lunch and a no-kids dinner at Buca di Peppo, yummy :)
Also, we finally got to bust out some fall clothes, which I was super excited about!
Calvin was involved in an intense conversation with Jacob about who was in his family.
We left the kids with Katie, Granny & Grandad while Luke and I got to have a night out. I know Calvin had a lot of fun painting pumpkins with Katie, and I’m sure Lucy Kate had a great time too, but she doesn’t talk..
