July Church Picnic
We had our 2nd church picnic of the summer last night at a neighborhood pool. Calvin had a fun time swimming, but it must have been a little too much for him…

Calvin’s Slide Adventures
First off, we’re trying to catch up on our posts, so these are going to be all out of order for a while. These videos are from a couple of weeks ago at Water Country. We’d just gotten our new waterproof camera and wanted to play with it. The plan was to edit a video together from all the raw footage. I tried YouTube’s new video editor (http://www.youtube.com/editor), but after putting it all together I saved the video and the sound was all off from the video.
So I gave up for now and didn’t feel like redoing it elsewhere. Here’s the raw footage we took at the park. I know it’s a lot, if I had to pick a favorite, I would pick The Meltdown Slide.

Solid Foods…Are You Sure?
Now that Calvin hit the 6 month mark, we started feeding him real people food! His first taste was of some yummy sweet potatoes. You can see how he was unsure of them at first, but now he eats them up :)
Since then he has tried and liked bananas (loves them actually), avocados, applesauce, pearsauce, peaches and green beans. He hasn’t had any rice cereal yet, just the homemade good stuff.
Oh and he doesn’t get this messy every time we feed him. What a headache that would be!
