Today was the day Calvin decided to come. Stephanie’s water broke at about 6:30 AM and we called the doctor to check on things. After the contractions started getting closer together we left for the hospital around 10 AM.
We arrived at the hospital about 10:20 AM and got Stephers checked in. At that time she was 90% thinned, 2 cm dilated, and –2 station.
The contractions continued to get closer together and stronger, and by the time we got to about 2:30 PM, Steph was 4 cm dilated, 90%, and +1.
About 3:30 the nurse got back and checked her again and she was 8cm dilated and +1! She started pushing soon after that and an hour later Calvin was born!
