Money Saving Mom "To Be"

Ok so some of you know that I love to stalk Money Saving Mom and other couponing ladies. They match up Sunday paper or printable coupons to deals going on at stores around town and share with everyone! Here's the results of a $20 grocery trip (over 50% savings!) at our Farm Fresh Supermarket (which doubles $1.00 coupons on Weds):
And here's the stuff I got for $1.58 at Rite Aid Pharmacy (after rebates):
Not too bad I think. Luke bought me a subscription to the paper for a year so I won't miss out on any great coupons! Mom/Carol/Nisie/Trix can still give me all yours too :) for double deals! Hopefully we'll never have to buy toothpaste, hair products, or deodorant again!

Geese Galore

So here's what we woke up to the past few days...
I guess there's plenty of grass for the to chow down on b/c the mower guys seem to wait forever to mow :)

It's a boy with a thing!

As you can see, the sonogram lady got a little cursor happy. Good pic though, it's definitely going in my child #1 blackmail file. And here's the rest of them, starting with the full color 3d portraits. (Take that Olan Mills.)

20 down 20 to go!

Wow, I really can't believe that we're halfway there to having this baby in our house. Eek! It's also pretty crazy that most people we don't know can't even tell I'm preggers. I guess this baby will start growing a lot faster now :) (hopefully, I want to be big and cute, I'm sure later I'll regret that!)

Well that's it, just thought I'd do a quick post.

Baby Room Beginnings

Luke's boss & his wife graciously gave us their baby crib!! What a blessing! And we had a rocking chair in our garage that Joe & Mona gave us when they were moving out of their house (a year and a half ago, ha).

So here's the start to the baby's room:

19 week Prego Pics

Ok here's finally some prego pics for you guys. I'm just at 19 weeks which is about 4 1/2 months.

Luke's reading books on food, what's in what you eat and stuff like that (it's pretty disgusting if you ask me). So we headed to the Yorktown Farmer's Market to load up on some fresh veggies, fruit & meat. These pics are at the York River.

It's Voting Time

Ok so we go to the doctor on Mon. July 27 for the second sonogram where we get to find out the baby's gender! There's a poll in the right side bar if you want to guess what the baby will be :)

Cow Appreciation Day!

Yesterday, July 10, was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. Come dressed like a cow and get a free meal! So of course I was all over that :) Kyle & Sara joined us for lunch. Luke and I were regular ole Chick-Fil-A cows , Kyle was a black angus, and Sara sported the oreo cow look.
And because there are 2 Chick-Fil-A's in Williamsburg, Luke and I went again for dinner :)
Both trips were a success!

Warners come for a visit!

My family came for a visit last week! The parentals along with Laura got here Tues afternoon (June 30) and David came late Wed night. So for Wed we decided to go to Colonial Williamsburg. We didn't get tickets and just walked around. They had some of the stuff blocked off to ticketers only though, so that was kind of stinky, but I think everyone got the gist.

This is what happens to parents who are bad..

Thurs morning we got up bright and early and headed out to Washington, DC. We rented bikes like we did with the Hargroves, it makes seeing everything soooo much easier! Here's a couple of fun shots...
At the White House. We were a little annoyed that Barack wouldn't let us in!
At the Capitol..
Sporting Texas pride at the WWII Memorial.
So at DC we spent Thurs riding bikes around to see all the monuments and then finished the day with a tour of the Capitol. Friday we headed out to Arlington Cemetary, the Air & Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Holocaust Museum. After a long day of walking around (wishing we still had our bikes) we headed back to Williamsburg.

Saturday (July 4th) we were pretty pooped so we just hung our house and played games and watched Independence Day, pretty appropriate we thought. For the evening though, we headed to Historic Yorktown to watch the fireworks.

(I think you can see a little baby bump in this pic!)Here's the fireworks behind Victory Monument, which I thought was pretty appropriate b/c it symbolizes victory over the British, which is why we celebrate July 4th.Sunday was a rainy day, so after church we just hung around the house playing games and watching movies.

Monday we headed to Virginia Beach. It was pretty cloudy and windy, so of course I was cold. But it wasn't too cold for Luke and David to go swimming and skimboarding. And of course we had to eat at Cheddars at least once while Carol was here...she had to have her onion rings :)

And Tues was everyone's last day here. We headed to Historic Jamestowne to check out the archeology (mainly for Lunsford). And that's it. We had a great time with the fam and hope they'll come visit us again soon! :)
